RV TRIPS, THE SHORT RV TRIP
|
You don't have to travel cross country or spend several weeks in your RV to enjoy its benefits. A short RV trip can be just as enjoyable and much less expensive.

The short RV trip to a nearby
campground or rv park can be a
rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Whether you are on a limited budget and
the fuel costs have put a damper on the
distances you would like to travel or you
are short on time and are only able to
travel for a few days, the short trip is just the ticket.
Chances are that there is a park campground or rv park close to
where you live. Though you are but a few miles away, you will have
the feeling of being far from home. A near by camping location gives
you the opportunity to visit it by car to see if it will meet your needs
before packing up for the stay. If you are new to rv camping, a
close location for your first time out is a good idea since you will more
than likely forget items you need, and if for some reason you don't
like the camping experience it will be easier to pack up and go back
home.
A bad first experience can turn a first timer away from camping for
good. Make sure the weather will be nice when you go
Campgrounds range from the privately owned, to county, state, or
Tailgating at local and major sporting events can be fun also. Your motor home can
accommodate you and your friends in the RV parking lot of any sporting event. You can
enjoy your tailgate party with the family in the parking lot as well as watch the event on tv
using the generator in your motor home.
national parks. State and National parks are beautiful, and while they don't offer all the
amenities of a private park they do give you a feeling of being far from home and usually
have some very pretty sites. Photo opportunities abound at these parks as well. Many of
these parks do not offer full hook-ups for RVs and may have length restrictions. Be sure
to look into that before driving there.
The most important thing is to have fun! Take the kids, the dogs, plenty of food, and
don't forget the pillows! For the veteran camper close to home, short RV trips offer a
relaxing getaway while saving you the time and gas to drive a distance for camping.
When time is an issue, you can still get away for a relaxing weekend.
