CAMPGROUNDS AND RV PARKS
Campgrounds and rv parks make a great destination
if you are planning  an affordable rv family vacation.
With over 16,000 locations you will find a rv
campground to meet your needs for rv park camping.
Do you have a sense of adventure?
Would love to explore the great outdoors
and discover the beauty of nature with
your family?  One of the most exciting and
affordable family vacation is
rv camping.
A camping trip is a great way to spend
some quality time with your family.    RV
parks, RV resorts, and campgrounds make
great destinations if you are planing an
affordable family vacation.  The beauty of
traveling in a motorhome or RV is the
ability to go wherever you want, whenever
you want, and take your whole home with
you when you do.   And RV parks and
campgrounds let you do that easily and
safely.  These campgrounds are ideal for
the first time tent camper.
There are lots of places to stay as you travel on the open road, and if you
keep your eyes open, you can find plenty of ways to keep your RV park
and campground costs very low as you do.
Even though a camping experience involves getting away from the
technological gadgets that we use on a daily basis in our modern lives,
this doesn't mean that your going to have to deal with conditions that
aren't decent.  Most RV parks  have a grills or fire-pits and picnic tables,
as well as showers and bathroom facilities. Others have much more
extensive facilities, like heated pools, cable TV and wireless Internet
access.
RV Campgrounds can be broken down into three catagories:

A.  Public campgrounds.  This would include state and local
parks, BLM and
National Forest campgrounds, National Parks, etc.
Camping sites range from primitive with very limited services to fully
developed family friendly campsites with all the services and amenities.

B.  Commercial campgrounds:  There are over 14,000 of
these privately owned camping grounds throughout the country. They
also range from a park with a few sites and modest services to the fancy
5 star resorts with hundreds of spaces and endless activities for the
well-to-do guests.  There are several commercial "chain" campgrounds
such as
KOA, and JELLYSTONE  PARK with locations across the
country.  The advantage of these chains is their central reservation
system, uniformity, and cleanliness.  When traveling with children, the
commercial campgrounds can be a great place to stay since many of
them have swimming pools, video arcades, playgrounds and a host of
other outdoor camping activities.

C.  RV membership resorts:   Buying into a membership resort
allows you to stay a any of their locations for a very low price.  Primarily
used by RVers who spend much of their time traveling, these resorts
enable you to stay in one location for as long as fourteen days.  Basically
you buy into one location as your "home base" and then are able to stay
at the other locations as you travel around the country.
Coast to Coast,
with over 400 RV campgrounds, is one of the largest membership
resorts.  Indian Trails is another.
With so many different types of parks and services available, how do you
know which ones will meet your specific vacation needs?   There are two
fine directories available that list the thousands of rv parks and
campgrounds in detail.  Here you will find what services and amenities
each park offers, the cost of camping, directions, local attractions, and a
host of other useful information.  We strongly recommend that you use
